Stitching Melania Netherlands donated some funds to St. Ritah women Development Association in 2020 to implement social economic empowerment of women. We implemented this project to integrate self-income generating and development initiatives through training women to gain skills and knowledge remains a resident with the people for self-reliance and sustainability. Women perform 66% of the world work and produce 50% of the food yet earn only 10 percent of the income and own 1 percent of the properties. This project was implemented to raise income of marginalized women in rural areas of Kasese district in western Uganda.
During the implementation period we have benefited 64 women with goats and still the project is going one since it is a revolving project of women. They went training on how to manage goats.
