The project received funds from Netherlands to boast the income of women in Kasese by training women on how to rear ducks. The project is implemented in Bukonzo county a highly post war zone. Women were found to have been involved in sexual work to look for survival and which has exposed their lives to STIs and others were found to have contracted AIDS and having also unwanted pregnancies. The project will benefit 80 direct beneficiaries and 320 indirect beneficiaries. In the next 5 years, it will benefit over 1500 who will get ducks. We set up a breeding place for the ducks that will produce duckling to be supplied to the beneficiaries and others to help run administrative work of the project.
